About Chimay
|
In this heaven of peace and silence, since 1850, Trappist monks have dedicated their life to God, where products are made which, in themselves, gladden the heart of man.
Take a bottle of Chimay, uncork it, smell it, already the beer is giving off its subtle aromas.
Then allow this incomparable liquid to pour slowly into its Trappist chalice. Then just close your eyes and savour it.
You are not drinking an ordinary beer, this is a Trappist beer, a beer of tradition that you are tasting!
Chimay is an authentic Trappist beer that is it is brewed within a Trappist monastery, under the control and responsibility of the monastic community. Only 6 beers in Belgium can carry the appellation "Trappist": Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle, Westvleteren and Achel.

Grand Réserve
|
Named Grande Réserve in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer.
This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant.
Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt.
This top fermented Trappist beer , refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
